Alloy Steel A213 Grade T91 Seamless Tubes are high strength, corrosion resistant ferritic alloy tubes that are intended for high temperature services. The material consists of carbon, silicon, manganese, nickel, phosphorus, chromium, sulfur, molybdenum, vanadium, niobium, nitrogen, aluminum, titanium and zirconium in the composition. The ASTM A213 T91 Tube gets the strength from this composition. The tubes have 585 MPa minimum tensile strength and 415 MPa minimum yield strength with 20% elongation at break. The dimensions vary from tube to pipe and can range from 1m to 12m in length. The standard schedules apply with wall thicknesses ranging from 1mm to 200mm. The ASTM A213 T91 Seamless Tubes are available in seamless, ERW, welded or fabricated forms with round, square, rectangular and hydraulic shapes.

The tube ends could be beveled, plain or treaded to suit different types of fittings in various applications. The seamless tubes are precise where the T91 Chrome Moly Welded Tube is also used very commonly. The application of the material could be seen in power generation plants, chemical processing plants, refineries and other high temperature, high pressure applications. The SA213 Gr T91 Seamless Tubing allying elements such as the zirconium and titanium improve the corrosion resistance of the material and also the strength. These are long lasting pipes but are expensive compared to the lower grades in the ASME SA213 specification.
