astm a53 grade b erw pipe is made up of electric resistance weld procedure. The pipe has grades A and B and the grade B has slightly higher mechanical properties than grade A. The ASTM A53 Grade B Pipe composition includes carbon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, copper, nickel, chromium, molybdenum and vanadium. The material composition provides the pipes with 330MPa minimum tensile strength and 205MPa minimum yield strength for grade A while giving 415MPa minimum tensile strength and 240MPa minimum yield strength for grade B. The pipes can range from 1/8 inches to 26 inches in outer diameter with wall thicknesses varying up to 250mm. This combination provides the steel a53 grade b pipe with high pressure capacities with schedules varying from sch10 through 160, XH and XXH.
